Thats funny, I like that. Then go see what your max temps were. Thanks again. Get a mid-rage mobo for the future (OCing), so it can carry you aroung 3-4 years. have a peek at this web-site
Many things, like the fact that, for instance, ASUS says you can do this OC with all power saving features left on, will be omitted. Keep lowering the voltage (1.345, 1.34, 1.33) untill it will not blend. Probably there will be a little bottleneck if you do a hard OC on 2500k, but overall, all you will get is an increasement in performance. 7770 is a decent card, Is this ok? http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/i-upgraded-to-a-i5-2500k-and-have-questions.173830/
Unless your ambient temps (your room temps) are unusually high you should have no problems keeping the temps under control. All the cores stayed within one degree of each other and the heat was generally even. Low 70s under prime, 20s idle. Edit: I've reseated the stock cooler and no luck.

You may want to recheck your Thermal Compound for starters and make sure you haven't applied too much. I have it down to 1.32v. That pretty much determines your idle voltage. solved i5 2500k Overclocking Temps, Safe or Not?
Why do you keep saying NO FAN?http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001807 Quote: Pre-installed one 92mm high performance fanPWM function with fan speed from 1000~2400RPM.Enclosed two clips for 2nd fan installation to increase cooling performance. Set CPU and RAM to manual. Is it worth cleaning it thoroughly and replacing it with something else? (I've got some Arctic MX-4 available) What's the default voltage for such a chip? Hard to say.
Hi. Anyone have any idea what that could be ...GPU is OC to 900/1800/2100 and temps got to 86C, cpu temps never got above 52C ..... Maybe Im wrong...
