Asus Laptop Wont Boot Past Asus Screen

Held the button down for SEVERAL seconds to completely power off the computer and then turn it on again. The screen works, sometimes if I try to start up, the Asus logo pops up quick, but it disappears and the computer just waits. I have tried all the suggested key combinations but got no luck. Laptop is an Asus N53SM running Win7 64bit.
