george has a working Saphire 8500 LE he flashed using the OS 9 boot method ... Are you looking for the solution to your computer problem? This "8500LE" is actually an ATI (BBA) OEM 8500 (not LE) in disguise. I think I flashed mine to 245/245 or so, and all the games play just fine at both 16 and 32 bit.

There was also a another ATI card calledthe 8500DV 64Mb AGP DVI VIVO which although not labeled an LE, actually hadthe same 250Mhz core and even slower memory at 238Mhz. Don't know if that could contribute, tho the problem has been consistent through 2 m/b's. this contact form If all boots up ok try loading the drivers for the vid card then.

I have installed two different versions of ATI Displays (not at the same time), and installed all Apple ATI extensions, and tried ATI's Mac ROM updater/restore. I recall you had an 8500 or 8500LE that didn't work with a second CRT.I have so many cookies I now have a FAT problem! CrashmanOct 9, 2002, 5:52 AM Not
