If you are using the standard windows driver you are not getting any dedicated video memory! I also installed c++ 2005 (base and then update)for better visual result. But i'm finding nothing. Please let me know if it is absolutely necessary to build a custom kernel and tweak the drivers to get DRI to work and I'll do it.
