Other options are... 1) Set global textures to one notch below massive and see if that helps 2) Check your mip map settings in game, set to no more than 4 Clearly there is some kind of bottleneck in texture transfer - as witnessed by the blurred grond textures, which shows that FSX is struggling to keep up with the texture load. As you stated Mike it could be because of the overclocking, I'm just testing it at the normal levels now and so far the textures stayed sharp.

If the textures are there, then there's most likely a setting that makes them appear blurry.

Is anyone else having the same problems as me? I don't know if that makes sense, but don't expect it to go away with changing drivers or anything. Do you have one or want to buy one? I know some addon authors have included two different sets of textures, one just for people who have blurry ones. I was having MAJOR blur problems (still having an unrelated one) after a re-install of XP and FS9 until I changed this to 400 for my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Thanx for the help.. My screen geometry is 1280x1024x32. Have you increased this line in the FS9.cfg to 400?....

However, your graphics look great when they finally kick in, so I don't think the AF level is the prob.It's not like AF makes the graphics clear up any faster, which Click here for more information and to see all donations year to date.
I would also try a couple different drivers and see if you have the same result. Have managed to reproduce problem on old machine by saving the flight and copying that saved situation across - blurries now on the old system! Otherwise, before returning your card, make sure that every option containing the words 'texture' or 'Mipmap' is set to the highest level, both in FS (Hardware tab) and in the Windows The Radeon itself doesn't 'read' any file, so you can rule that out.
Question is, does this make sense? All Rights Reserved. What i reccomend is to uninstall FS the proper way through control panel and get rid of any folders left over then reinstall FS.
